Personal Information

Olivier Oullier, PhD, is the President of EMOTIV, the global leader in personalized neuroinformatics. He is the former Head of Strategy in Global Health and Healthcare and Member of the Executive Committee of the World Economic Forum who named him a Young Global Leader. Olivier is a Full Professor of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at Aix-Marseille University and taught at the Universities of Oxford and Geneva’s executive education programs. His lab and applied research focuses on consumer behavior, engagement, influence, social coordination dynamics, decision neuroscience. He writes for The National (weekly column “Brain Matters”), Fortune Magazine (column entitled “This is your brain on business”) and The Wall Street (expert on healthcare and consumer behavior). From 2009 to 2012, he was the director of the Neuroscience and Public Policy Program at the French Prime Minister’s Center for Strategic Analyses. A former expert at the European Commission’s DG SANCO, he currently sits on France’s Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology (OPECST) and High Council for Strategic Education and Research (CSFRS) He has (co-)authored more than 200 scientific, medical, business and mainstream publications including “The Science of Engagement (2012), “The Science of INgagement” (2014) and the first ever market report on Pervasive Neurotechnologies (2015) and their impact on business. He studied at the Universities of the Mediterranean, Cincinnati, the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
